Meybod Orchin Tile Company Started pilot production of tiles in 2002 and succeeded in gaining the Standard Certificate in the same year and producing tiles in all sizes. Modern and up-to-date equipment and systems of optimum production installed in the factory, enables us to produce 5.4 million square meters of tile every year. Orchin Tile is located in an area of 13 hectares, in the 6th kilometer of Meybod road to Yazd.

A considerable part of the factory’s products are exported to different countries. The chief objectives to found Orchin Tile Co. were to create employment in the area, making foreign currency, and income creation, taking the advantage of being close to raw material mines. Customer orientation, gaining the consumer’s satisfaction, production according to international standards and enhancing the quality are the principal targets of the experienced and skilful managers and personnel in Orchin Tile.

 Achieving ISO 9001 & ISO 14000 Certifications and also OHSAS 18000 from SGS in 1997 and 1999, having the European standard certification, CE, Research & Development (R&D) certification from the Ministry of Industries & Mines in 2004, awarded by ISIRI as the best production unit of Yazd province regarding the quality of the products in 2003, all of which demonstrate that the tiles produced in this industrial complex are of high quality.

The modern laboratory of Orchin Tile, equipped with advanced facilities and based on the latest technology, experiments carefully with the raw material and the production process and applies the necessary feedback to the production lines in order to meet the current standards. The skilled personnel of the laboratory are in charge for this important responsibility using carefully the existing testers. Since enhancing the level of quality, meeting the standards, fulfilling the desires of the customers and consumers are the main targets of this industrial production unit, thus quality control and serious supervising of the production stages and conducting necessary tests during and after the process, are among the duties of the factory’s quality control unit with experienced personnel.

Measuring the grain size of the spray dryer granules, firmness of the biscuits in a press, determining the degree of needle resistance by the penetrometer machine and measuring the water absorption of tiles are among the tasks that the quality control unit does. The proficient personnel of the Orchin’s quality control unit learns perpetually as well as applying the latest associated knowledge and techniques to supply the market solely with the products in accord with the standards of Iran and the world.
